Cabbage is really good for you!<\/p>\n<p>1-2 pounds of corned beef<br \/>\n1\/2 head of cabbage<br \/>\n3 large potatoes<br \/>\n1-2 carrots<br \/>\n1 onion<br \/>\n1 clove of garlic<br \/>\nblack pepper<br \/>\n2 cups of water<\/p>\n<p>The corned beef seasons everything on its own, really. DO NOT ADD SALT.<\/p>\n<p>Cut the corned beef into halves. Chop all vegetables down to size (somewhere between a large gumball and your fist, it&#8217;s your preference, really).<\/p>\n<p>Place into crock-pot in this order:<br \/>\nmeat<br \/>\nwater<br \/>\nseasonings<br \/>\nonion<br \/>\npotatoes<br \/>\ncarrots<br \/>\ncabbage<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1328\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a title=\"Corned Beef and Cabbage (Cooked)\" href=\"http:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/crnbeefcabbage.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1328\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1328 \" title=\"Corned Beef and Cabbage (Cooked)\" src=\"http:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/crnbeefcabbage.jpg\" alt=\"Corned Beef and Cabbage (Cooked)\" width=\"300\" height=\"227\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1328\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Finished product. Cabbage color shows it&#39;s done, and you can see where the water\/juice level has risen.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Cook on high for 1 hour, then turn to low for 6-8 hours more. I normally start my crock-pot at 10am, and then turn it down at noon for dinner by 5pm. If I want to eat at 6pm, I turn it down at 11am.
