{"id":705,"date":"2010-01-28T22:50:03","date_gmt":"2010-01-29T05:50:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/?p=705"},"modified":"2011-08-29T12:10:14","modified_gmt":"2011-08-29T19:10:14","slug":"curried-pot-stickers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/?p=705","title":{"rendered":"Curried Pot Stickers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_717\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/potsticker_army.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-717\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-717 \" title=\"Army of Pot Stickers\" src=\"http:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/potsticker_army.jpg\" alt=\"Army of Pot Stickers\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-717\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Army of Pot Stickers<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Total time:\u00a0 Plan on 2 hours your first time.<\/p>\n<p>Adapted from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanciemcdermott.com\/cookbooks.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Real Vegetarian Thai by Nancie McDermott<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 c cooked mashed potatoes<br \/>\n3\/4 c cooked mashed sweet potatoes<br \/>\n15-20 Ritz crackers, crumbled<br \/>\n2 green onions (scallions), finely chopped<br \/>\n1\/3 c cilantro, finely chopped<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n1 tsp soy sauce<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp curry powder<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp sugar<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p>gyoza (or wonton) wrappers or dough<br \/>\n3-4 Tbsp vegetable oil for frying<br \/>\n1-2 c vegetable stock<br \/>\nwater for fingertips<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, mix together potatoes, cracker crumbs, onions, cilantro, egg and seasonings.<\/p>\n<p>Place two teaspoons to one tablespoon of filling in the center of each wrapper and fold the dough in half, pleating the edges along one side.<\/p>\n<p>Heat 1-2 Tbsp of vegetable oil in a large frying pan (preferably one with a snug-fitting lid) on medium-high heat. Arrange as many pot stickers as you can in the frying pan, and fry until bottoms are golden (2-3 minutes). Add 1\/4 cup vegetable stock and cover quickly and tightly. Cook until the water has boiled itself away (about 3 minutes). Repeat for remaining pot stickers.<\/p>\n<p>I served this with <a href=\"http:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/?p=709\" target=\"_blank\">double soy sweet and sour sauce<\/a> and white rice.
