{"id":44,"date":"2009-06-08T23:25:38","date_gmt":"2009-06-09T06:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/?p=44"},"modified":"2011-08-29T00:10:59","modified_gmt":"2011-08-29T07:10:59","slug":"french-toast-casserole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes.cuppylicious.net\/?p=44","title":{"rendered":"French Toast Casserole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Total time:\u00a0 Approximately 1 hour, plus optional overnight chill.<\/p>\n<p>Another addition to my collection from the recipe exchange.\u00a0 The karo syrup makes me avoid this recipe, so I haven&#8217;t tried it yet!<\/p>\n<p>1 loaf French bread<br \/>\n8 eggs<br \/>\n1 \u00bd cups milk<br \/>\n\u00bd cup maple syrup<br \/>\n6 oz cream cheese<br \/>\n6 T real butter<\/p>\n<p>Syrup:<br \/>\n2 cups sugar<br \/>\n1 cup white Karo<br \/>\n\u00bd cup water<br \/>\n1 t. cinnamon<br \/>\n12 oz can of evaporated milk<\/p>\n<p>Rip French bread into bite-sized pieces and place in greased 9&#215;13 pan.\u00a0 In blender, mix up eggs, milk, maple syrup, cream cheese and butter.\u00a0 Pour over bread.\u00a0 Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 for 40 minutes.\u00a0 For Syrup, mix sugar, Karo, water, and cinnamon in sauce pan.\u00a0 Boil rapidly for 2 minutes.\u00a0 Cool for 5 minutes, then add can of evaporated milk.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s almost like sweet syrupy bread pudding with a hint of egg.
